We are glad you've stopped by. The Association of Records Managers and Administrators is a world-wide organization of over 10,000 records and information management professionals. You'll know us as records managers, records supervisors, records clerks, records center staff, vendors and related staff. We work closely with corporate secretaries, librarians, archivists and MIS staff. We determine records retention periods, establish policy for the creation, use and management of information, regardless of physical form. While we deal with a lot of paper, we are involved in optical imaging, document management, magnetic media, and micrographics. We are professionals.

We add value to an organization by ensuring that records and information are retained in accord with legal and regulatory requirements and can be made available quickly and efficiently when needed for legal, operational, or audit purposes. We ensure that records are properly and completely destroyed as soon as legally permissible, in accord with all legal and regulatory requirements.

The Chicago Chapter of the Association of Records Managers and Administrators has about 300 members in Northeastern Illinois and Northwestern Indiana.
